Connect the Dots for Adults
Interior sketches are therapeutic.
The straight lines of two point perspective.
It's like connect the dots for adults. So simple that interior sketches have taken over my sketchbook.
The only creativity they demand is that you pick a seat and start to draw. Are you gonna pick the comfy armchair or the table with a lot of space to spread out? Or are you gonna chose the uncomfortable table by the electrical outlet?

Happiness is a Choice
I quit my job. And will be out of there in a week.
Peace out, suckers. (Just kidding, I love a lot of people there like family). It's amazing how much I learned at that shoe store the past four years. My managers watched me grow up... it's a little heartbreaking having to leave. Yet I've never felt so free being able to walk away. I'm pumped.
Although, being in between jobs isn't a comfortable feeling. I'm not as worried as I should be.
Oh well. For now I am perfectly content with just sitting around, drinking coffee, and sketching on napkins.
I've had a silly idea of trying to sell some of my paintings that I have had sitting around in my closet for the past few years. It's a dream but I think I may have the time now to try and do it.
It might be the time that has given me the confidence... or I'm just growing ballsier.
I have just decided that I'm going to be happy.

The Scent of Spring
We've been coped up for too long.
This winter has been long and icy. I love the cold weather but who can complain when the sky starts to look blue again?

These puppies surely are happy about it. They have been on squirrel patrol the past few days.
And have finally been able to pick up favorite toys from where the ice froze them to the ground.

And I can feel the ground with my feet again. Or actually be able to feel my feet at all.

One thing is for sure: It has been a lovely day!

Sketchbook piece #1
I love sketching. But what I don't love is coming up with ideas of what to draw all the time.
You have to be witty and creative when all you want is to just make something pretty.
So whenever i get a hankering to sketch, I just copy a photo down for my sheer enjoyment.
Some might call that cheating. But just for my own sketchbook, I don't consider it cheating.
